My sweet friend Kara, and sweet cousin Chrissy are both due with babies within days of each other...any day now...sooner than later they are hoping! We had a wonderful shower for Kara and she and baby Thomas are now well supplied! I was inspired by a friend (Tiffany Browder) to make a cake for the shower. ( I mimicked this cake almost exactly off one of hers-with her permission of course!)
I also made a diaper cake, (idea stolen from another creative friend Jacquie Graves!). I had never seen a diaper cake until Jacquie showed us step by step instructions on her blog. It is such a great way to display something SO essential and basic to every babys needs.

The next weekend took us to the shower of my cousin Chrissy, she and her husband mike are expecting a baby girl, Riley. They as well were showered with many,many gifts. I was so glad to be able to make it to this shower.
This was the diaper cake I made for her. Thank you to cousin Lauren, and Aunt Audrey for helping me with this!Babies, and cakes ooooo so sweet!

I love the cake! It looks SO GOOD!!!! And so does the diaper cake! You really did great! Please feel free to "copy" any of my other ideas if you want to, you don't have to ask! I think I see a future side job on your hands! Way to go!
